Description
The talented designer Stefan Diez has succeeded in exploiting the phenomenon of light scattering through technical finesse. His ambitious design for the Guise lighting collection was awarded the German Design Award for Innovation in 2018. The shade of the pendant light of the manufacturer Vibia is a simple tube made of transparent, mouth-blown Brosilikat glass. 4 LED strips are integrated as invisible light source in the shade. They are located in the upper part of the shade in a barely perceptible seam. Opposite, the glass was provided with a dense engraving of fine lines, which absorb the light, reflect and emit as soft ambient lighting into the environment.
