LED lights: Extremely Durable and Energy Efficient
Light pillars that shine in dozens of different colours. Metre-long chains of lights which create a starry sky with hundreds of illuminated dots and still do not consume more energy than a 75 watt light bulb. This is made possible by the light-emitting diode, called LED, which is on its way to revolutionise our ideas of illumination. The LED consists of power permeable semiconductors, like they are used in LCD-screens. The advantages of this shockproof illuminant are its great luminous efficiency, low power consumption and long lifespan. Moreover, they are continuously dimmable without a loss of power. Furthermore coloured LEDs provide unusual lighting effects. Nowadays, many lamp manufacturers provide a wide range of LED lights with warm white light as table lamps, suspended lamps and ceiling and wall lamps in which the transformers are installed as unobtrusive as they are in low-voltage halogen lamps.

Powerful Lights for the Living and Working Area
Special effects are created by LED lamps which are equipped with lamp bodies of transparent glass or plastic and coloured diodes and thus become colourful light sculptures. Many different colours can be realised, which blend into each other or can be controlled individually at the push of a button. Turned off, the luminaire is plain white. Because a colourful version is not always fitting, these models mostly contain connectable white LEDs. Since a single high-performance LED achieves a concentrated luminous power, LED table lamps or clamp spots with a single diode are perfectly suitable as working lamps or to illuminate objects and paintings. For a more widepread lighting LED lamps are equipped with circularly or linearly installed LEDs.
