The design for the all-round talent Grass was born in 1921and was created by Bernard-Albin Gras. The French inventor designed the luminaire series for use in offices and for industrial use. The visionary and functional aesthetics of the Gras lighting range soon became known around the world by entrepreneurs and artists, including Le Corbusier, who integrated the luminaire into numerous of his architectural projects, and the painter Georges Braque, who used it in his studio. Far ahead of its time in its design and user-friendly approach, Bernard-Albin Gras created a simple, robust and ergonomic design, whose triumphal march continues to this day.
The Gras lighting range is equally popular for both professional and residential applications.
