The clear forms and the timeless design of the Cubelight table lamp by Tecnolumen stand in the tradition of the so called “Bauhaus” style. This famous and very influential movement of design and architecture mainly shaped the subject of “New Objectivity”.
Mathias Schifferdecker, who has already established his reputation as a designer, finds his inspiration in Bauhaus and prefers to work with technical and constructive design elements. This becomes quite obvious when you look at his Cubelight table lamp, which he created in 2012.
18 glass cubes are placed on a base of stainless steel and are lightened from below by a modern LED illuminant. Each cube is movable and can therefore be arranged by yourself however you like it. This concept gives you a lot of creative freedom and creates different facets of light every time you change the arrangement and look of your lamp. Cubelight contains 14 transparent and 4 coloured glass cubes: a red, yellow, green and blue one.
The use of LED technology makes you benefit from a low energy consumption and a long lifespan combined with a very low heat development.
